SPRUILL & CAMPBELL LEAD MEN'S INDOOR
TRACK & FIELD AT NEW ENGLAND OPEN CHAMPIONSHIPS

Boston, Mass.-The Rhode Island College menís indoor track & field team competed at the 2017 New England Open Championship, hosted at the Reggie Lewis Center on Saturday. The Anchormen did not score as a team. Northeastern won the title with a score of 177.0.

 

Junior Shamar Spruill (Providence, RI) notched a 13th place finish in the weight throw (16.21m). Freshman Levon Campbell (Newport, RI) had a 13th place finish in the 200m (22.84), while junior Vincent Santos (Narragansett, RI) recorded a 26th place finish in the 60m hurdles (8.93).

Sophomore Destin Bibemi (Providence, RI) took home 14th in the 400m (50.22), while freshman Jephte Wagnac (Providence, RI) recorded a 25th-place finish in the 400m (51.06).

 

The Anchormenís 4x400 relay team notched a 17th place finish (3:25.68).

 

In upcoming action, The Anchormen will travel to Tufts for a Last Chance Meet on Saturday, March 4 (11 a.m.).
