WOMEN'S GYMNASTICS FINISHES FOURTH AT
HARRIET MARRANCA MEMORIAL INVITATIONAL

Ithaca, N.Y.-The Rhode Island College womenís gymnastics squad notched a fourth place finish at the Harriet Marranca Memorial Invitational, hosted by Ithaca College on Sunday afternoon.  The Anchorwomen finished with 177.900 points, while Ursinus took home first place with a score of 188.825.

 

Brockport (187.725) finished second, while host Ithaca (186.500) finished third at the event.

 

Sophomore Kyndel Yett (Carrollton, GA) recorded a seventh place finish on vault (9.400). Yett also finished eighth on floor (9.425). She was the highest finisher for the Anchorwomen on both events.

Sophomore Allie DiBiase (North Kingstown) notched a second place finish in the all-around (34.975). DiBiase also posted a 17th place finish on bars (8.750) and was RICís top finisher on that event.

 

Freshman Violet Pinola (Rumford, RI) was the teamís top finisher on beam with a 13th-place effort (9.325).

 

In upcoming action, RIC will travel Bridgeport on Tuesday, March 7 (6 p.m.).
