CILLEY PACES ANCHORMEN AT
WILLIAMS INVITATIONAL

Williamstown, Mass.-Senior Austin Cilley (Westerly, RI) is currently in a tie for ninth place (74) after the first day of competition of the 2017 Williams Invitational played at the Taconic Golf Club on Saturday afternoon.

 

THE BASICS
Rhode Island College (Team Score: 320) sits in 12th place (19 teams), while Trinity is in first place (Team Score: 294).

HOW IT HAPPENED
Sophomore Nathan Patterson (Conway, MA) is in a tie for 37th place (79), while Junior Mike Caparco (Johnston, RI) is tied for 56th (82).

Junior Ryan Badeau (Woonsocket, RI) finished the day tied for 73rd (85).

Senior Josh Macera (Cranston, RI) rounded out the RIC golfers and finished tied for 76th (87) for the Anchormen.

 

BY THE NUMBERS
The par-71 course measures 6,808 yards and the tournament has 19 teams with 116 golfers.

 

WHO'S NEXT
Rhode Island College will compete in the second round of the Williams Invitational on Sunday, Sept. 24 (9 a.m).
