RHODE ISLAND COLLEGE NAMES
JAKE DORMAN ASSISTANT WRESTLING COACH

Providence, R.I.-Rhode Island College has named Jake Dorman as an assistant wrestling coach. Dorman, along with fellow assistant coach Kyle Lake, will assist Head Coach Jay Jones with all facets of the program, including recruiting, scouting, administering practice and meet coaching.

“I’m excited to give back to the program that made me the person I am today,” Dorman said. “I’ve had many coaches in my wrestling career that have had an influence on my wrestling, as well as my life, and I am looking forward to stepping into that role myself.”

The Foxboro, Massachusetts native finished his career at RIC in 2017 with 29 victories. During his career for the Anchormen, he recorded 52 takedowns, 11 reversals, 48 escapes, 18 near-falls and six pins.

Dorman received a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Rhode Island College in 2017 and currently resides in Providence.
