ERICA EDWARDS TABBED LITTLE EAST
WOMEN'S SOCCER GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK

Providence, R.I.--Rhode Island College sophomore goalkeeper Erica Edwards (West Warwick, RI) was named the Little East Conference Women's Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week for her performance in the Anchorwomen's, 2-0, win over Plymouth State on Oct. 28.

 

She made seven saves in her first collegiate shutout to help RIC secure the No. 5 seed in the 2017 Little East Conference Championship. For the season, Edwards has played in 14 games, starting 12 of them. She is 2-9-1 with a 2.79 goals against average and a .770 save percentage to go along with 114 saves.

 

 

 

Head Coach Christina Pirri's team is 5-11-1 and finished the regular season with a 2-4-1 mark in the Little East. RIC will travel to fourth-seeded UMass Boston on Tuesday, Oct. 31 (7 p.m.)  in first round action the LEC Championship.
