COURTNEY LAMBRESE NAMED FIRST TEAM
ALL-LITTLE EAST IN WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL

Providence, R.I.-Rhode Island College senior outside hitter Courtney Lambrese (Cranston, RI) was named First Team All-Little East for her performance in women’s volleyball this season.

 

Lambrese played in 92 sets in 26 matches for RIC during the 2017 season and led the team in numerous categories. She posted a .223 hitting percentage (368-142-1,012) with 368 kills, 32 service aces, eight assists, 243 digs and 13 blocks. She ranked third in the LEC in kills per set (4.00), while her total kills ranked fifth in the conference. She also ranked sixth in total attacks, 11th in hitting percentage, 19th in service aces and 20th in digs. Lambrese had nine double-doubles on the season, including a season-best 24 kills with 17 digs at Eastern Connecticut (Oct. 3).

 

 

 

In her two years at RIC, Lambrese played in 178 sets in 51 matches. She totaled a .218 hitting percentage (626-234-1,797) to go along with 626 kills, 13 assists, 50 service aces, 380 digs and 29 blocks. Prior to coming to the Anchorwomen, Lambrese played two seasons at the University of New England.

 

Head Coach Leo Bush’s team finished the 2017 season with a 16-11 overall record and a 2-5 (seventh place) mark in the Little East Conference.
