COUSINEAU PLACES 67TH AT N.E. DIV. III WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS

Gorham, Maine--Freshman Shayna Cousineau (Cranston, RI) registered a 67th place finish (22:49.0) to lead the Rhode Island College women's cross country team to a 33rd place finish (56 teams) at the 2017 New England Div. III Championship, hosted by Southern Maine on Saturday 

 

THE BASICS 

The Anchorwomen finished with 960.0 points, while MIT took home the team title with 58.0 points on the afternoon. 

 

There were a total of 56 teams and 393 runners competing at the event.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

Junior Margaret McCaffrey (East Greenwich, RI) placed 141st (23:50.7) for the Anchorwomen. 

 

Junior Rebecca Meinertz (Smithfield, RI) finished in 219th place (24:52.3), while freshman Bryana Mullin (Warwick, RI) notched a 253rd place finish (25:23.3) for RIC. 

 

Senior Rebecca Tellier (Smithfield, RI) recorded a 297th place finish (26:07.2), while junior Laura Paiva (Coventry, RI) posted a 308th place finish (26:32.6). 

 

BY THE NUMBERS
The Anchorwomen had a total team time of 2:03.03 over the 6K course.
