Providence, R.I.-Rhode Island College freshman guard Adham Floyd (Worcester, MA) and junior forward Justin Campbell (New Haven, CT) were recognized by the Little East Conference for their respective performances in menís basketball this season.


Floyd was named to the leagueís All-Rookie Team. He played in 24 games, starting 15 of them. Floyd averaged 11.4 ppg, 6.4 rpg and 1.7 apg. Floyd led the club with 22 blocks and was tied for the team lead in rebounding. He was second in scoring. Floyd reached double figures in scoring on 14 occasions and eclipsed 10 rebounds in a game five times. The Saint Johnís High School product posted four double-doubles on the season. Floyd scored a career-high 25 points and grabbed a season-best 14 boards in a 100-96 win over Pine Manor on Nov. 15. He dished out a season-best six assists in 71-68 loss at UMass Dartmouth on Jan. 24.

Campbell was named to the Little East All-Defensive Team. He played 26 games, starting 25 of them. He averaged 10.8 ppg, 6.4 rpg and 1.0 apg. He was tied for the team-lead in rebounding and was third in scoring. Campbell reached double figures in scoring 16 times on the season. He scored a career-best 24 points and hauled in a season-best 15 boards in a 68-59 loss at UMass Boston on Dec. 9. Campbell posted four double-double efforts on the season.

Head Coach Michael Byrnesí team finished the season with an 8-18 overall record and a 5-9 (fifth place tie) in the Little East. Sixth-seeded RIC fell, 73-67, to third-seeded UMass Boston in first round action of the 2018 Little East Conference Tournament on Feb. 20.
