Rhode Island College Names
Timothy O’Leary
Assistant Women’s Gymnastics Coach

Providence, RI--Rhode Island College named Timothy O’Leary as an Assistant Women’s Gymnastics Coach. O’Leary will assist Head Coach Nicole Follett with all phases of RIC’s women’s gymnastics program including recruiting, scouting, administering practices and meet coaching.

O’Leary brings a wealth of gymnastics experience to RIC having spent 29 years in the sport, the past 19 as a coach. O’Leary has been the Head Coach at Bridgewater-Raynham High School (MA) where he coached current RIC gymnast Nikki Longo. Under his tutelage, the Trojans were three-time league champs, two-time MIAA South Section Champions, the 1999 MIAA State Champions and 1999 New England Championship Finalists.

He has also been the Head Coach for the Massachusetts High School Girls’ Senior National Team. The squad placed third in the nation in both 1997 and 2000, and were the 2001 NHSGCA National High School Champions.

He is President of the Massachusetts Girls’ Gymnastics Coaches Association and a member of the MIAA Gymnastics Committee.

In addition to his coaching duties, O’Leary is a self-employed financial planner. He resides in Bridgewater, Massachusetts with his wife Karen and their two children Kyle (11) and Shannon (10).
