Barron, McNamara and Quaglia to
Captain Rhode Island College Baseball

 

Providence, RIóRhode Island College seniors Russ Barron (Cranston, RI), Sean McNamara (Warwick, RI) and Dave Quaglia (Attleboro, MA) will captain the baseball team for the 2002 season.

 

Barron, a right fielder, has played in 11 games, starting all of them. He is batting .317 with six runs, 13 hits, five doubles, six RBI and one stolen base. He is an elementary education major and a 1998 graduate of Cranston High School East.

 

McNamara, catcher, has played in nine games, starting all of them. He is batting .314 with six runs, 11 hits, four doubles and three RBI. He is a physical education major and a 1998 graduate of Pilgrim High School.

 

Quaglia, a catcher/first baseman, has played in 11 games, starting all of them. He is batting .317 with 11 runs, 13 hits, eight doubles and eight RBI. He is an elementary education major and a 1997 graduate of Attleboro High School.

 

Head Coach Jay Grenierís Anchormen are 2-9 overall and have yet to see action in the Little East Conference.
