North Smithfield’s Glenn Dusablon Earns Little East Conference Baseball Rookie of the Week Honors


Providence, RI— Rhode Island College freshman Glenn Dusablon (North Smithfield, RI) was named the Little East Conference’s Rookie of the Week for his performance in baseball last week.


Dusablon, a pitcher, picked up a pair of triumphs last week earning the win in a starting assignment against Suffolk and coming on in relief to record a win against Salem State. He posted a 2.25 ERA with six strikeouts in eight innings of work.


For the season, he has appeared in six games, starting four of them. He is 2-1 with a 4.72 ERA and 21 strikeouts in 26.2 innings pitched. As a hitter, he has played in six games, starting four of them. He is batting .400 with one run and two hits.


He is a 2001 graduate of North Smithfield High School.


Head Coach Jay Grenier’s Anchormen are 4-14 overall and 0-4 in the Little East Conference. RIC went 2-2 on the week, defeating Suffolk University 7-5 on Apr. 2 and Salem State College 7-3 on Apr. 4. In Little East action, the Anchormen were swept by Keene State College on Apr. 6, falling 5-3 in both games.
