Women’s Tennis Update #2

(3-3-0 Overall, 1-1 in the Little East)

Providence, RI--Head Coach Kelly Lange’s team is 3-3 overall and 1-1 in the Little East Conference. The Anchorwomen notched an important conference victory over Southern Maine 5-4 on Sept. 20. RIC lost to Johnson & Wales 7-2 on Sept. 17 and 8-1 at Bryant on Sept. 19.

Freshman Liz Barrette (North Providence, RI) is 3-3 (.500) at number one singles and 4-2 (.667) at number one doubles for a total of 5.0 points on the season

 

Senior Donna Vongratsavay (North Providence, RI) is 6-0 (1.000) at number two singles and 4-2 (.667) at number one doubles for a total of 8.0 points on the season.

 

Sophomore Meghan Mooney (Scituate, RI) is 3-3 (.500) at number three singles and 3-3 (.500) at number two doubles for a total of 4.5 points on the season.

 

Junior Samantha Hedden (Rumford, RI) is 3-3 (.500) at number four singles and 2-4 (.333) at number two doubles for a total of 4.0 points on the season.

 

Junior Kristin Mandsager (Portsmouth, RI) is 2-4 (.333) at number five singles and 3-3 (.500) at number three doubles for a total of 3.5 points on the season.

 

Senior Sara Hebert (Cumberland, RI) is 2-4 (.333) at number six singles and 1-3 (.250) at number three doubles for a total of 2.5 points on the season.

 

Junior Anabela Pereira (Pawtucket, RI) is 1-1 (.500) at number three doubles for a total of 0.5 points on the season.

 

In upcoming action, RIC will host Western Connecticut on Sept. 25, host UMass-Dartmouth on Sept. 28.
