Dana Stark is heading into her 15th season as the Advisor/Coach for Rhode Island College’s Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) Equestrian Team.

Dana has over 20 years of experience in the equestrian industry having spent her junior and young adult years on the “A” circuit as a rider, barn manager and groom as well as operating her own private breeding and sales barn for the past decade. Her introduction and commitment to the IHSA began as an undergrad co-captain of the UMass Amherst Equestrian Team, culminating in a win at the IHSA National Championship in 1985. Her passion for the IHSA followed her work in higher education with a stint as advisor to the Brown University Equestrian Team where she was instrumental in securing varsity status in 1996.

Dana graduated from Rhode Island College, Summa Cum Laude, with a Bachelor's degree in communications and a certificate in non-profit studies.

The RIC Equestrian Team rides out of Willow Brook Farm (at Ballard’s Farm) in Lincoln, RI with Dina Patnaud.
