Jackson spent the past 14 seasons as Rhode Island College's head coach of men’s and women’s indoor and outdoor track and field.

During the 2012-2013 campaign, Jackson was named both the Little East Conference Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Coach of the Year, while also being named the Little East Conference Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year earlier in the season. He was named the LEC Women's Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field Coach of the Year as well in 2008-09. Jackson led the RIC men's outdoor squad to the program's first-ever Little East Conference Championship in 2013.
