From Interstate 95 Northbound

Take Exit 21 (Broadway exit); turn left at second traffic light (Atwells Avenue). Follow Atwells Avenue for 1.5 miles to the intersection with Mount Pleasant Avenue. Turn right onto Mount Pleasant Avenue. The College entrance is 1.1 miles ahead on the left.

From Interstate 95 Southbound

Take Exit 21 (Atwells Avenue exit). Turn right onto Atwells Avenue. Continue on Atwells Avenue for 1.5 miles to the intersection with Mount Pleasant Avenue. Turn right onto Mount Pleasant Avenue. The College entrance is 1.1 miles ahead on the left.

From Interstate 295 Northbound

Take Exit 6A to US Route 6 East. Follow US Route 6 East to the Killingly Street (RI Route 128) exit. Turn left off exit and follow Killingly Street to end. Turn right onto Greenville Avenue and follow to second traffic light. Turn left at the traffic light, then bear right at the fork. Campus entrance is approximately 0.2 mile ahead on the right.

From Interstate 295 Southbound

Take Exit 7A to US Route 44 East. Follow US Route 44 East for 2.8 miles to the intersection with Fruit Hill Avenue. Bear right onto Fruit Hill Avenue. The College entrance is 1.0 mile ahead on the left.

From Route 44 West
Take US-44 East past the Centredale section of North Providence. Follow US-44 (Smith St.) for approximately one mile to Fruit Hill Ave. Bear right onto Fruit Hill Ave. to the campus entrance one mile ahead on your left.

From Route 6 West
Follow US-6 East toward Providence to RI-128 Killingly Street exit. Turn left onto Killingly Street and continue to end. Turn right onto Manton Avenue and follow to traffic light. At light, turn left onto Fruit Hill Avenue and bear right at church. Entrance to the campus is approximately one-half mile ahead on the right.

From the State House (Route 44 West)

Follow US Route 44 West (Smith Street) for 2.3 miles. Turn sharp left onto Mount Pleasant Avenue. Follow Mount Pleasant Avenue for 0.4 mile. The College entrance is on the right.

Public Transportation

The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority operates bus service to the Rhode Island College Campus. Buses run regularly to the College from Kennedy Plaza and Francis Street in downtown Providence, and from Centredale and Olneyville Square. Bus service extends from 7:30am to 4:30pm weekdays. Bus service to the College is available on RIPTA route 26. Also, route 55 (Admiral Street Line) has been extended to the college which provides an additional 25 roundtrips weekday and 15 roundtrips on Saturdays. Limited service is also available on RIPTA routes 56 and 27. All service picks up and drops off at Roberts Hall. See RIPTA.com for details.
