Rhode Island College Names Bill Cumplido Associate Head Menís Basketball Coach;
Colin Tabb and Dennis Kazimir
Named Assistant Coaches


Providence, RIóRhode Island College has named Bill Cumplido as the associate head menís basketball coach, and Colin Tabb and Dennis Kazimir as assistant menís coaches. They will assist head coach Michael Kelly with all phases of RICís menís basketball program including recruiting, scouting, administering practices and game coaching.


Cumplido was most recently an assistant coach at the University of New Hampshire in 2002-03. Other than New Hampshire, he has assistant coaching experience at Plymouth State College (2001-02), Davidson College (1999-2001) and St. Josephís College (1998-99). Cumplido was also the associate head coach at the College of St. Josephís from 1996-1998. He received a bachelorís degree in human resource management from Salve Regina University in 1996 and a masterís in elementary education from the College of St. Josephís in 1998.


Tabb was a premium sales associate for the Boston Red Sox in 2003. He also played professional basketball in Germany in 2002-03. Tabb played two years of basketball at both Quinnipiac University and Trinity College. At Trinity, he earned First-Team All-American honors during his senior year. He also received the McCook Award as the most outstanding male athlete at Trinity College. Tabb received a bachelor of arts degree in political science from Trinity College in 2002.


Kazimir most recently was involved in the operations department of The Hoop Group, assisting with the planning and monitoring of the Eastern Invitational Basketball Camps and Clinics in 2002-03. He also has experience in administrative areas at various basketball-related sites including Rutgers University, Seton Hall University and the New Jersey Nets. Kazimir received a bachelor of science degree in sports management from Seton Hall University in 2000.


Rhode Island College opens the 2003-04 season at the Coca Cola Classic, hosted by Stonehill, on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 21-22.
