ANCHORWOMEN DOWN LANCERS, 12-4

            Providence, RI--Freshman Caitlin Gavin (Portsmouth, RI) scored six goals to lead Rhode Island College past Worcester State, 12-4, in collegiate women's lacrosse action. RIC improves to 2-1 overall, while the Lancers remain winless with a 0-5 mark this spring.

 

In addition to Gavin, junior Danielle Beaudry (West Greenwich, RI) scored twice and chipped in with an assist. Sophomore Crystal Colagiovanni (Johnston, RI) also tallied twice. Seniors Erin Grant (Coventry, RI) and Rachel Pecoraro (Smithfield, RI) rounded out the Anchorwomen's offensive output. Freshman goalie Micaela Morris (Barrington, RI) made 11 saves en route to her second win of the season.

 

Freshman Ann Clark (Worcester, MA), with three goals, and junior Courtney McKallagat (Hudson, MA) with one goal, were the lone stars for WSC. Senior goalie Julie Creedon (Worcester, MA) made 18 saves in the loss.

 

In upcoming action, RIC will play at Nichols on Monday, Mar. 29 at 3:30 p.m.
