Rhode Island College Women’s Lacrosse Update #3

(4-3 Overall; 0-2 in the Little East)

Providence, RI--Head Coach Ryan Angel’s team is 4-3 overall and 0-2 in the Little East Conference. RIC's four wins this season set a new school record for victories in a season. In last week’s action, RIC was defeated at UMass-Dartmouth, 18-7, on Apr. 6, defeated Elms, 17-4, on Apr. 8 then dropped a conference game to Keene State, 14-4, on Apr. 10.

 

Freshman center Caitlin Gavin (Portsmouth, RI) has played seven games, starting all of them. She has a team-high 26 points on a team-best 24 goals and two assists. Gavin also has compiled team-highs of 55 shots, 47 on goal, 37 ground balls and 36 draw controls.

 

Sophomore defender Crystal Colagiovanni (Johnston, RI) has played seven games, starting all of them. She has 13 points on 13 goals. Colagiovanni has compiled 37 shots, 30 on goal, 25 ground balls and three draw controls.

 

Junior attack Rachael Pecoraro (Smithfield, RI) has played seven games, starting all of them. She has nine goals and two assists for 11 points. Pecoraro has compiled 26 shots, 23 on goal, 15 ground balls and four draw controls.

 

Senior defender Erin Grant (Coventry, RI) has played seven games, starting five of them. She has three points on three goals. Grant has compiled 13 shots, nine on goal, 13 ground balls and one draw control.

 

Freshman attack Shana Griffin (Barre, VT) has played seven games, starting four of them. She has four points on two goals and two assists. Griffin has compiled 11 shots, seven on goal, nine ground balls and two draw controls.

 

Senior attack Kim Wells (Granby, CT) has played seven games, starting all of them. She has two points on one goal and one assist. Wells has compiled six shots, two on goal, eight ground balls and one draw control.

 

Sophomore attack Danielle Egan (North Falmouth, MA) has played three games, starting all of them. She has two goals for two points. Egan has compiled nine shots, six on goal, four ground balls and six draw controls.

 

Junior defender Erika Babat (North Kingstown, RI) has played seven games, starting all of them. She has 30 ground balls and five draw controls.

 

Junior attack Danielle Beaudry (West Greenwich, RI) has played seven games, starting all of them. She has 18 points on 11 goals and a team-high seven assists. Beaudry has compiled 22 shots, 20 on goal, 24 ground balls and six draw controls.

 

Junior attack Victoria Bilalyan (Cranston, RI) has played six games, starting three of them. She has two points on two goals. Bilalyan has compiled six shots, all on goal, seven ground balls and two draw controls.

 

Freshman goalkeeper Micaela Morris (Barrington, RI) has played seven games, starting all of them. She has played compiled a record of 4-3, a 9.83 goals against average, a .524 save percentage and 12 ground balls.

 

Senior defender Cara Collins (Johnston, RI) has played four games, starting three of them.

 

Sophomore defender Kerri Higgins (Harrisville, RI) has played six games, starting two of them. She has two ground balls.

 

Sophomore defender Megahn McKervey (Mansfield, MA) has played seven games, starting all of them. She has 20 ground balls and one draw control.

 

Freshman defender Brittany Rosen (Derry, NH) has played six games, starting five of them. She has one goal for one point. Rosen has compiled five shots, four on goal, 22 ground balls and 11 draw controls.

 

Sophomore defender Ashley Cardin (Cumberland, RI) has played four games, starting three of them. She has one goal for one point. Cardin has compiled one shot, one on goal, ten ground balls and one draw control.

 

Sophomore attack Jessica Maher (Warwick, RI) has played three games. She has compiled two ground balls and two draw controls.

 

In upcoming action, the Anchorwomen will play at Salve Regina on Monday, Apr. 12, then host Southern Maine on Thursday, Apr. 15, Plymouth State on Saturday, Apr. 17, and Castleton State on Sunday, Apr. 18.
