Rhode Island College Softball Ranked Number One
in New England by NCAA


Providence, RIó The NCAA Div. III Softball Committee has ranked the Rhode Island College softball team number one in New England. This is the first time in the program's history that the Anchorwomen have achieved this status.


Head Coach Maria Morin's team is 16-8 overall and 5-1 (first place) in the Little East Conference. RIC is 12-2 in the New England region to date.


In upcoming action, RIC will play a doubleheader at Plymouth State tomorrow afternoon, then play two at Southern Maine on Sunday. USM is the fourth-ranked club in N.E. as of yesterday's poll.
