Kamari Williams Earns
Little East Menís Basketball Honors

 Providence, RIóRhode Island College freshman guard Kamari Williams (Springfield, MA) was named the Little East Conferenceís Menís Basketball Rookie of the Week. This is the second such honor for Williams this season.


Williams scored 18 points, converting all six shots from the charity stripe, and dished out six assists in RICís loss to Roger Williams on Dec. 4. He has played in all five contests, starting four of them, and is currently leading the team in scoring averaging, 14.4 points per game. Williams is also averaging 3.3 assists and 2.2 rebounds per contest.


Williams is a business major and a 2002 graduate of Cathedral High School.


Head Coach Michael Kellyís team is 1-4 (0-0 LEC) on the season. In upcoming action, RIC travels to Johnson and Wales on Tuesday, Dec. 9 for a 7:30 p.m. tilt and Newbury College on Thursday, Dec. 11 for a 5 p.m. contest, before heading home for the first time to face LEC foe Eastern Connecticut on Saturday, Dec. 13 at 3 p.m.
