Kamari Williams Earns
Little East Menís Basketball Honors
For Fourth Time

 Providence, RIóRhode Island College freshman guard Kamari Williams (Springfield, MA) was named the Little East Conferenceís Menís Basketball Rookie of the Week for the third consecutive week. This is the fourth such honor for Williams this season.


 Williams helped RIC to a split at the College of Staten Islandís Tournament of Heroes on Dec. 29-30. In the opening game, he scored ten points and grabbed six boards in a loss to Kean University. He scored 14 points, grabbed three boards and dished out four assists in the win over St. Josephís (LI). Williams has played in ten games, starting eight of them. He is averaging a team-high 13.9 points, 3.8 assists and 1.5 steals per game, along with 3.0 rebounds per contest.


Williams is a business major and a 2002 graduate of Cathedral High School.


Head Coach Michael Kellyís team is 4-6 (1-0 LEC) on the season. In upcoming action, RIC will play at Bridgewater State on Thursday, Jan. 8 and at UMass-Boston on Saturday, Jan. 10.
