Named Little East Conference
Menís Basketball Rookie of the Week

 Providence, RIóRhode Island College freshman guard Kamari Williams (Springfield, MA) was named the Little East Conference's Rookie of the Week for his performance in men's basketball. This is the fifth such honor of the season for Williams.


Williams has played in 25 games, starting 12 of them. He is averaging 11.2 points and 2.4 rebounds, while contributing a team-high 88 assists and 41 steals. Williams poured in 24 points versus Western Connecticut on Feb. 17 and followed that performance up with a 21-point afternoon against Keene State on Feb. 21.


He is a business major and a 2002 graduate of Cathedral High School.


Head Coach Michael Kellyís team is 11-14 overall and 7-7 in the Little East Conference. The Anchormen have earned the Little East Tournamentsí fifth seed and will travel to Danbury, CT. to face fourth-seeded Western Connecticut on Tuesday, Feb. 24. at 7 p.m. in quarterfinal action.
