 Named Little East Conference
 Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week

Providence, RIóRhode Island College junior libero Stephanie Wojciechowski (North Kingstown, RI) was named the Little East Conference Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week.


Wojciechowski appeared in all 16 games in four matches last week, helping lead the Anchorwomen to a 3-1 record. She totaled 52 digs (3.25/game), while also contributing two service aces.


For the season, she has played in 102 games in 27 matches. She has 31 kills (0.30/game), a .073 hitting percentage, three assists (0.03/game), 35 service aces (0.34/game) and a team-high 276 digs (2.71/game). Wojciechowski was named to the RIC Invitationalís All-Tournament Team.


She is a psychology major and a 2000 graduate of North Kingstown High School.


Head Coach Craig Letourneauís Anchorwomen are 13-14 overall and 3-2 in the Little East Conference. RIC began the week at home with a, 3-0, win over Western New England College on Tuesday, Oct. 12. The Anchorwomen then traveled to Johnson & Wales on Saturday, Oct. 16, going 2-1 in a quad-match. RIC defeated Johnson & Wales, 3-2, and Salve Regina, 3-0, but couldnít complete the sweep against Roger Williams, dropping the match, 3-2.
