Rhode Island College Baseball Update #2 |

(6-5 Overall; 0-0 in the Little East) |

Providence, RI--Head
Coach Jay Grenier's team is 6-5 overall and has yet to play a
Little East Conference game. The Anchormen played two games last week,
winning both of them. RIC went on the road on Tuesday, Mar. 29 and
took an, 18-4, decision over Coast Guard. The Anchormen then played
their first home game of the season on Thursday, Mar. 31 and defeated
Salem State, 6-2. |

Senior outfielder Chris Higgins (Swansea,
MA)
has played in 11 games, starting all of them. He is batting a .333
with 13 hits, one home run, two doubles, eight RBI and five runs
scored. Higgins owns a .372 on-base percentage, a .462 slugging
percentage and a .909 fielding percentage. |

Senior pitcher/outfielder Glenn Dusablon (North
Smithfield, RI)
has played in ten games, starting all of them. He is batting .324 with
11 hits, 11 runs scored and four doubles, along with two RBI, three
walks and one stolen base. Dusablon owns a .441 slugging percentage, a
.415 on-base percentage and a 1.000 fielding percentage. On the mound,
Dusablon has appeared and started in one game. He owns a 1-0 record
with a 3.00 ERA. In 6.0 innings pitched, he has struck out four

Senior first baseman/pitcher Matt Brannon (Cranston,
RI)
has played in 11 games, starting all of them. He is batting .371 with

Brannon has appeared and started in two games. He owns a 1-1 record

Junior right fielder Mike Naylor (Warwick, RI) broke his hand
after being hit by a pitch, and will be out the remainder of the
season. Prior to getting injured, Naylor played in seven games,
starting all of them. He batted .318 with seven hits, one double, six
runs scored and three RBI. Naylor owned a .364 slugging percentage, a
.333 on-base percentage and a 1.000 fielding percentage. |

Sophomore pitcher Caleb Barber (Mystic, CT) has appeared in two
games, starting one of them. He owns a 1-1 record with a 4.50 ERA. In

Sophomore catcher Tim Henault (East Greenwich, RI) has played
in eight games, starting six of them. He is batting a team-high .478

3:30 p.m. and Southern Maine in a double-header on Saturday, Apr. 9 at
