Micaela Morris Named Little East Women’s Lacrosse Women’s
Defensive Player of the Week

Providence, RI—Rhode Island College sophomore goalkeeper Micaela Morris (Barrington, RI) was named the Little East Conference Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week.


Morris backstopped RIC to a 12-12, overtime victory over Roger Williams on Thursday, Mar. 31. She made 12 saves, including two in the extra session, to lead RIC to victory. She has played and started in two games. She has a record of 2-0 and has compiled 21 saves, a save percentage of .583 and a goals against average of 7.14.


Morris is an art education and jewelry design major and a 2003 graduate of Barrington High School.


Head Coach Ryan Angel’s team is 2-0 overall and has yet to face a Little East Conference opponent. The Anchorwomen’s 2-0 record is the best start to a season in program history.
