Rhode Island College Announces
2004 Fall Sports MVPs




Providence, RI-- The Rhode Island College Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, Intramurals and Recreation held its annual Fall Banquet at RICís Donovan Dining Center on Monday, Dec. 6 to honor those student-athletes who participate in varsity fall athletics. Each sport gave out their Most Valuable Player Award.



Womenís Volleyball

Junior outside hitter Kristy Nix (East Setauket, NY) was named the womenís volleyball teamís MVP. She was named Second Team All-Little East Conference. Nix played in 125 games in 33 matches. She had 355 kills (2.84/game), a .251 hitting percentage, 36 service aces (0.29/game), 14 assists (0.11/game), 269 digs (2.15/game), and 49 blocks (0.39/game). Her 355 kills are a new RIC record for a single-season. She currently ranks sixth all-time at RIC with 554 career kills and a .233 career hitting percentage.

She is a business management major and a 2002 graduate of Ward Melville High School.
