Liz Martin Named Assistant
Women’s Basketball Coach
at Rhode Island College


Providence, RI—Rhode Island College has named Liz Martin as an assistant women’s basketball coach. Martin will assist Head Coach Spencer Manning and top Assistant Coach Craig Letourneau with all phases of the RIC women’s basketball program including recruiting, scouting, administering practices and game coaching.


Martin says, “I'm really excited to be a part of the women's basketball staff at Rhode Island College and I'm looking forward to working with the players.”


The Middletown, Rhode Island native has an extensive background coaching basketball camps. Martin has coached camps at Duke University, the University of Connecticut and at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.


Martin played four years of basketball at Castleton State College from 2000-04. She captained the team as a senior in 2003-04 and was a part of CSC’s North Atlantic Conference Championship Team as a junior in 2002-03. In addition to basketball, she played two seasons of softball for the Spartans and was part of back-to-back undefeated seasons as a member of the women’s rugby squad.


She earned a bachelor’s degree in sport administration from Castleton State College in 2004. Martin minored in coaching and health.


She is single and resides in Norwood, Massachusetts.
