Rhode Island College Men’s Cross Country Update #5

Providence, RI--Head Coach Kevin Jackson’s team has six invitationals under their belt this season.


• The Anchormen competed at a tri-meet with Mitchell at Eastern Connecticut on Saturday, Oct. 15. RIC placed first with a score of 28, Eastern Connecticut was one point behind at 29 and Mitchell logged a team score of 75. It was a 7,000 meter race. RIC was led by junior Eric Lonergan (North Kingstown, RI) who placed first overall with a time of 22:56. Senior Manny Karngar (Providence, RI) was third overall with a time of 23:55. Sophomore Greg Ahnrud (Chepachet, RI) was fifth with a time of 24:31. Senior Tim Goodwin (Warwick, RI) was seventh with a time of 24:32. Sophomore Greg Clark (Pawtucket, RI) was 12th with a time of 26:01 to round out the RIC runners.
