Rhode Island College Softball Ranked 21st in the Nation


Providence, RI The Rhode Island College softball team is ranked No. 21 in the latest edition of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Div. III Top 25 Poll. The Anchorwomen move up three spots from last week’s poll.


The National Fastpitch Coaches Association Div. III Poll is voted on by eight NCAA Div. III head coaches representing the eight NCAA regions.


Rhode Island College is currently 8-2 on the season. Head Coach Maria Morin’s team swept a doubleheader from Wheaton (3-1, 2-1) on Tuesday, Mar. 27. In upcoming action, RIC will play at Salem State College this afternoon and open the 2007 Little East Conference schedule at home against Southern Maine on Saturday, Mar. 31.
