Gavin Leads Anchorwomen With Four Goals
|
Bristol, RI—Rhode Island College lost its second game in as
many days, falling, 19-7, at Roger Williams in collegiate women’s
lacrosse action. The Anchorwomen trailed by three goals at halftime,
but the Hawks outscored RIC, 12-3, in the second stanza to earn the
victory. Roger Williams ups its record to 3-2, while the loss drops
RIC to 0-2. |

Rhode Island
College senior center Caitlin Gavin (Portsmouth, RI) scored two
of her team-high four goals in the first half. Junior midfielder
Kerry McDevitt (Jamestown, RI) scored twice in the game and
freshman midfielder Meridith Darby (Middletown, RI) recorded
her first collegiate goal to round out the squad’s offensive output.
Freshman goalkeeper Katie Kielbasinski (Windsor, CT) made 15
saves in a losing effort. |
