Rhode Island College Softball Ranked 17th in the Nation


Providence, RI The Rhode Island College softball team is ranked No. 17 in the latest edition of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Div. III Top 25 Poll. The Anchorwomen move up one spot from last week’s poll to achieve their highest national ranking in program history.


The National Fastpitch Coaches Association Div. III Poll is voted on by eight NCAA Div. III head coaches representing the eight NCAA regions.


Rhode Island College is currently 20-2 on the season. Head Coach Maria Morin’s team swept a doubleheader from Lasell (4-0, 15-2) on Tuesday, Apr. 10. In upcoming action, RIC will host Salve Regina tomorrow afternoon and travel to Little East rival UMass Boston on Saturday, Apr. 14.
