Mike Naylor Helps College Division Win Annual NEIBA All-Star Game at Fenway Park


Providence, RIóRhode Island College senior right fielder Mike Naylor (Warwick, RI) helped lead the College Division to a 2-0 win over the University Division at the 32nd Annual New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) College Baseball All-Star Game held at Fenway Park on Sunday, July 22.


The Div. III team joined a team of Div. II All-Stars to down a squad filled with Division I All-Stars.


He entered the game in the fifth inning and played the remainder of the contest in left field in front of the storied Green Monster. Naylor went 0-for-1 in the game.


Naylor was named First Team All-Little East Conference and Second Team All-New England as an outfielder this past spring. He played in 35 games, starting all of them. He batted .380 (49-for-129) with 33 runs scored, 12 doubles, one triple, seven home runs, 38 RBI and five stolen bases. He owned a .651 slugging percentage, a .468 on-base percentage and a .975 fielding percentage. The team MVP led the squad in RBI, was tied for first in homers, tied for second in doubles, and was third in hits. He is RICís all-time leader in career hits and runs scored.
