Rhode Island College Women’s Cross Country
Places 35th at New England Championships


New London, CT—The Rhode Island College women’s cross country placed 35th overall (47 teams) with a score of 1,025 at the New England Div. III Championships, hosted by Connecticut College on Saturday, Nov. 10. Amherst won the meet with a score of 40.


Freshman Katie Desrosiers (Warwick, RI) was RIC’s top runner, placing 175th (344 runners) with a time of 25:33.7. Freshman Kathryn Cote (Greenville, RI) placed 191st with a time of 25:51.9 Freshman Heather Feeney (Warwick, RI) placed 212th with a time of 26:26.7.  Freshman Nicole Poirier (Concord, NH) placed 226th with a time of 26:44.6. Freshman Rachael Proctor (East Providence, RI) placed 253rd with a time of 27:07.6. Freshman Lindsey Brisson (Coventry, RI) placed 260th with a time of 27:23.6.  Sophomore Christine Smith (Foster, RI) placed 278th with a time of 27:56.9.
