Amanda Perry Named Little East Conference
Softball Rookie of the Week




Providence, RIóRhode Island College freshman Amanda Perry (New Bedford, MA) was named the Little East Conference Softball Rookie of the Week for her performance in four games.








Perry batted .714 (10-for-14) from the dish to lead Rhode Island College to a perfect 4-0 mark on the week, raising its winning streak to nine. She hit safely in all four contests, including three doubles, a home run and six RBI. Perry went 5-for-5 with a season-high four runs scored and five RBI in the nightcap of a conference doubleheader against Southern Maine on Saturday, Mar. 29. She owned a 1.143 slugging percentage and .765 on-base percentage for the week.



For the season, she has played in 17 games, starting 14 of them. Perry is batting .512 (22-for-43) with 17 runs scored, four doubles, one triple, two home runs and 15 RBI. She has totaled a .791 slugging percentage, a .560 on-base percentage and a .920 fielding percentage.


In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will host Bridgewater State on Tuesday, Apr. 1 at 3:30 p.m.
