CULBERTSON’S NINE POINTS LEAD RIC
PAST LASELL
RIC Wins Second Straight

Island College senior midfielder Sydney Culbertson (North
Kingstown, RI) scored a game-high seven goals and assisted on
two others to lead the Anchorwomen past Lasell, 11-10, on Tuesday
afternoon. |

It was the second straight win for RIC (2-7), which
snapped a 12-game losing streak with a 16-15 overtime win vs. Little
East rival Plymouth State this past Saturday. The Lasers fall to 6-6
on the season. |

In addition
to Culbertson’s effort, sophomore midfielder Meridith Darby
(Middletown, RI) scored twice, while senior midfielder Kerry
McDevitt (North Kingstown, RI) notched a goal and two helpers.
Senior defender Marissa Kielbasinski (Windsor, CT) rounded
out the Anchorwomen goal scorers. Freshman goalkeeper Hilary
Switzer (Woonsocket, RI) made 13 saves to post her second win
(2-7) of the year. |

The contest
was tied, 6-6, at the half, but Rhode Island College scored five of
the final seven goals, including three by Culbertson, to record the
win. |

action, Rhode Island College will play at Nichols on Thursday, Apr.
