ALMONTE TALLIES TWICE IN,
19-3, LOSS
TO WESTFIELD STATE

Westfield, MA—Sophomore
attack Suany Almonte (Warwick, RI) scored two of RIC's three
goals in a 19-3 loss at Westfield State in collegiate women's
lacrosse action on Thursday night. |

Westfield
State sophomore Laura Chiricosta had six goals and three
assists, while sophomore Rachel Dionne scored four goals to
lead the Owls. |

The
victory was the sixth straight for the Owls, who boosted their
record to 7-1. Rhode Island College drops to 1-6. |
|
|
|
|
|
Westfield
scored six goals in the fist eight minutes - three by Chiricosta and
two from senior Kasey Rogers - to jump out to a 6-0 lead. The
Owls led at halftime, 15-3. |

|
|
|
Rogers
tallied three goals and junior Ally Brown had two goals
and two assists. Also scoring two goals was freshman Jen Lyon. |

In upcoming action, Rhode Island
College will resume Little East Conference play at Keene State on
Saturday, Apr. 4. |
