STATE KEEPS ANCHORWOMEN
WINLESS IN LEAGUE ACTION

Providence, R.I.-Sophomore
attacker Nicky Drolet (Somersworth, NH) led Rhode Island
College with three goals in a 20-6 loss to Keene State in Little
East Conference women’s lacrosse action on Saturday afternoon. |

The Anchorwomen drop to 3-4
overall and 0-2 in the LEC, while the Owls raise their marks to 6-3
and 2-0. |

Freshman midfielder Haley
Lattinville (North Kingstown, RI) posted a game-high six ground
balls and three caused turnovers. Freshman midfielder Libby Lazar
(Wakefield, RI) grabbed a team-high three draw controls.
Freshman goalkeeper Kerri Montgomery (Franklin, MA) made nine
saves. |

The Owls scored the first
three goals and held a 12-4 halftime lead. Keene State outscored the
hosts, 8-2, in the second half. For the game, the Owls held
advantages in shots (36-13), ground balls (29-23) and draw controls
(21-7). |

Sophomore
Caitlyn Corace (Mahopec, NY) led the way with a career-high six
goals and an assist. Freshman Nicole Curry (Hampstead, NH)
scored four goals and junior Jamie Albert (Southington, CT)
netted three goals for the Owls. Junior Lauren Sawyer
(Westbrook, ME) finished with two goals and four assists. |

and freshman Christine Collins (Cheshire, CT) both
saw time between the pipes. |
