Plymouth, NH-Sophomore attack Molly Voyer (Lincoln, RI) tied for the game-high with six goals, but Plymouth State handed Rhode Island College a 22-12 loss in Little East Conference women’s lacrosse action at Arold Field.

Plymouth State Sophomore Jenn Foley (Tewksbury, MA) reached career highs for the second time in three games as she tallied six goals and handed out two assists to lead the PSU attack to its the second-highest output of the season. 


The Panthers won their fourth game in a row, improving to 8-4 overall and 3-1 in the Little East and remaining within striking distance of league-leading Keene State.  RIC suffered its fifth straight loss and dipped to 3-8 overall and 0-4 in the LEC.


Seniors Kalie Judd (Peabody, MA) and Kerry D’Ambroise (Lowell, MA) also collected six points apiece for the home team-Judd with a goal and five assists and D’Ambroise with three goals and three assists.  Judd also continued her outstanding play in the center circle, collecting 13 draw controls and four ground balls. Junior Kathryn Rogers (Wolfeboro, NH) and freshman Marie Lander (Ossipee, NH) also scored four times each for PSU. 


Plymouth State took a 3-0 lead in the first five minutes of the game. The Panthers maintained the advantage throughout the first half, scoring the last five goals for a 14-6 margin at the break.  PSU tallied the first two goals of the second half and enjoyed a double-digit lead most of the second half.


RIC freshman midfielder Libby Lazar (Wakefield, RI) had four ground balls, two draw controls and three caused turnovers.


In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will host Southern Maine on Tuesday, April 27.
