Providence, RI—Rhode Island College senior guard Antone Gray (Providence, RI) and junior forward Mason Choice (Newport, RI) will be part of a New England All-Star Team that will travel to Greece and Italy over the next 10 days and play six games against European pro teams.


"It is a great opportunity for Antone and Mason to use basketball to learn about different cultures and see countries they would probably otherwise never get a chance to see,” RIC Head Men’s Basketball Coach Bob Walsh said. “They will also get a chance to play against professional teams in different countries. It will be 10 days they will never forget."

As a junior in 2009-10, Gray was named Second Team All-Little East. He played in 20 games, starting 16 of them. He averaged 14.2 points, 2.4 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 0.8 steals per game. He ranked second on the team in scoring and first in assists. Gray had season-highs of 29 points at Eastern Connecticut on Dec. 5, nine assists vs. Roger Williams on Nov. 28 and five rebounds and two steals on multiple occasions. He was named the LEC Tournament’s Most Outstanding Player, LEC Player of the Week once and was named to the LEC Honor Roll once this winter.

As a sophomore in 2009-10, Choice was named First Team All-Little East and to the league’s All-Defensive Team. He played in 29 games, starting 28 of them. Choice ranked third on the team in scoring, was second in assists and fourth in rebounds. He averaged 13.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.4 steals per game. Choice registered season-highs of 24 points and five steals at Keene State on Jan. 9, seven assists vs. UMass Dartmouth on Jan. 26 and seven rebounds on multiple occasions.
