Harper Leads Anchormen To Sixth Place Finish at Worcester State Invitational

Providence, RI-Sophomore Kyle Harper (Rehoboth, MA) tied for ninth as the Rhode Island College menís golf team placed sixth (18 teams) at the Worcester State Invitational.


The Anchormen totaled a score of 330, which was +42. Salem State won the title with a score of 313 (+25). Western New England (318, +30), Endicott (326, +38), UMass Dartmouth and Trinity (328, +40) finished ahead of RIC.


Harper shot a 78, which was +6 for the afternoon.

Freshman Tim Leigh (Somerset, MA) and senior Bryan Picinisco (Dartmouth, MA) tied for 29th with a score of 83 (+11).


Sophomore Joseph Quinn (Dedham, MA) tied for 48th with a score of 86 (+14), while classmate Justin Coffey (Hopedale, MA) tied for 67th with a score of 91 (+19).


In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the Elms Invitational on Thursday, April 21.
