Williamstown, Mass.-Junior Conor McCloskey (Wakefield, RI) earned All-ECAC honors with a 15th place (300 runners) finish at the 2011 Eastern College Athletic Conference Championships, hosted by Williams at Mt. Greylock High School.


McCloskey posted a time of 26:56.70 as the Anchormen placed 19th (44 teams) with a score of 494. Williams captured the championship with a team score of 44.

Junior Shawn Stadnick (Wakefield, RI) placed 85th with a time of 28:45.54. Freshman Ian LaPlume (Hope Valley, RI) placed 112th with a time of 29:07.48.


Sophomore Cameron Richer (Woonsocket, RI) placed 140th with a time of 29:36.43. Junior Austin Pena (Warwick, RI) placed 146th with a time of 29:48.47.


Freshman Marcus Sandoval (Portsmouth, RI) placed 186th with a time of 30:34.70. Sophomore Tom DeCristofaro (Smithfield, RI) placed 189th with a time of 30:39.00.


In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the New England Div. III Championships, hosted by Bowdoin on Saturday, Nov. 12.
