JESSICA RICCI NAMED LITTLE EAST ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Providence, RI—Rhode Island College freshman attacker Jessica Ricci (Hope, RI) was named the Little East Women’s Lacrosse Rookie of the Week for her performance in a 1-1 week for the Anchorwomen.

She posted 10 goals and two assists for 12 points, to go along with three draw controls. Ricci scored a career-high five goals and handed out one assist in the club’s, 17-12, loss to Roger Williams on March 20. She equaled the feat two days later as RIC crushed Emmanuel, 15-3, on March 22.

For the season, she has played in three games, starting both of them. Ricci has 12 goals and three assists for 15 points, to go along with five draw controls.

Head Coach Mike Koperda’s team is 1-2 on the season. In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will play at Framingham State on Tuesday, March 27 (4 p.m.).
