Providence, RIóThe New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) named Rhode Island College senior shortstop Kyle Allaire (Uxbridge, MA) Second Team All-New England for his performance this spring.


Allaire was also the Little East Conference Co-Player of the Year, First Team All-Little East and team MVP. He played in 43 games, starting all of them. Allaire batted .397 (71-for-179) with 44 runs scored, 71 hits, six doubles, 18 RBI, 26 walks and 14 stolen bases. He owned a .430 slugging percentage, a .478 on-base percentage and a .942 fielding percentage. Allaire became the programís all-time career hits leader against Eastern Connecticut on April 21. He led the Anchormen in batting average, runs scored, hits, on-base percentage and stolen bases. Allaire ranked second on the squad in walks, while also ranking third in total bases (77). His 71 hits on the year ranked second all-time in single-season program history, while his 44 runs scored ranked sixth all-time for a single season. Allaire also established a new single-season record for assists (147). He was named the Little East Conference Player of the Week once on the year.




Head Coach Scott Virgulakís team finished the season with a 26-17 overall record and a 9-5 (third place) mark in the Little East. The Anchormenís 26 victories are a new program record.
