Providence, RIóRhode Island College senior forward Rachel Riley (Coventry, RI) was named a First Team All-ECAC All-Star by the Eastern College Athletic Conference for her performance in womenís basketball this season.




Riley has also been named an Honorable Mention All-American by both the Womenís Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and Womenís DIII News. She was named Second Team All-Region by the New England Womenís Basketball Association (NEWBA), Third Team All-Region by and First Team All-Little East Conference. She is one of only three players in program history with over 1,000 career points and rebounds, totaling 1,263 points and 1,043 boards over the past four seasons. She played in 29 games, starting all of them. Riley averaged 13.5 points, 9.9 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.3 blocks and 1.2 steals per game on the year. Riley was named the Little Eastís Player of the Week once on the season and was tabbed the Most Outstanding Player of the 2012 Little East Conference Womenís Basketball Tournament. She was also named team MVP.


Head Coach Marcus Reillyís Anchorwomen finished the season with a 25-4 overall record and a 13-1 (first place) mark in the Little East Conference. RIC closed out the programís most successful campaign, having established new school records for wins (25), winning percentage (.862) and Little East wins (13). The Anchorwomen captured the programís first-ever Little East Conference Regular Season and Tournament Championships, while also advancing to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 27 years.
