Providence, R.I.-Senior outside hitter Breanna Boyer (West Greenwich, RI) was named First Team All-Little East Conference for her performance in womenís volleyball this past season. Boyer was a Second Team All-LEC selection as a sophomore in 2010 and as a freshman in 2009.


As a senior in 2012, she played in 106 sets in 30 matches, the only player on the roster to play every set this fall. She hit .264 (399-107-1,104) with 399 kills, 17 assists, 32 service aces, 220 digs and 48 blocks. Boyer led the team in hitting percentage, kills and blocks while tying for the team-high in aces. She also ranked second on the club in digs.  Boyer reached double digits in kills in 23 matches, posting a season-high 25 in a 3-2 win over Clark on Sept. 29. She recorded a season-best 13 digs in a 3-0 loss to Western New England on Sept. 20.




She is RIC's all-time leader with 1,458 career kills. 


Head Coach Elysce Tackmannís team finished the season with a 14-16 overall record and a 3-4 (fifth place) mark in the Little East Conference. The Anchorwomen defeated fourth-seeded Eastern Connecticut, 3-0, in the first round of the 2012 Little East Conference Tournament on Oct. 31, before falling to top seed and eventual champion UMass Boston, 3-0, in the semifinals on Nov. 3.
