Former Softball Coach Maria Morin Also to be Honored

Providence, R.I.-Former Rhode Island College President John Nazarian ’54 will be inducted into the Little East Conference Hall of Fame on Sunday, Oct. 27 at the Providence Marriott.

The event will begin with a reception at 12:30 p.m., with a dinner and the induction ceremony to follow.

She guided the Anchorwomen to five consecutive Little East Conference Regular Season Championships (2009, ’08, ’07, ’06, ’05) and four straight Little East Tournament Championships (2009, ’08, ’07, ’06). RIC made five NCAA Tournament appearances under her tutelage, reaching the National Championship Round in both 2007 and 2008, and won 20 or more games for 13 consecutive seasons from 1999-2011.
