Providence, R.I.-Junior Daria Braboy (Providence, RI) established a new program record in the triple jump, while sophomore Autumn Wosencroft (Newport, RI) took first place in the 400m, to lead the Rhode Island College women’s outdoor track & field team at the 2014 Brown University Invitational on Saturday. It was an individual meet with no team scoring.


Braboy took second in the 400m (57.87) and finished fifth in the triple jump with a record-breaking mark (11.29m).


Wosencroft posted a time of 57.32 to finish just ahead of Braboy for first place in the 400m. She also recorded an 11th place finish in the long jump (4.42m).

Freshman Destinee Barrette (Warwick, RI) took third place in the hammer (48.07m), while classmate Sierra Smith (Foster, RI) finished sixth in the high jump (1.50m). Senior Natasha Miller (Wakefield, RI) finished seventh in the long jump (4.90m).


In upcoming action, Rhode Island College is set to compete at the 2014 Silfen Invitational, hosted by Connecticut College, on Saturday, April 19 (10 a.m.).
