2013-14 Rhode Island College
Menís Indoor Track & Field Season Summary

Providence, R.I.-Head Coach Kevin Jacksonís team closed out the 2013-14 menís indoor track and field season by sending one individual to the 2014 NCAA Div. III Championships, hosted by the University of Nebraska, on March 14. RIC did not score as a team.

 

Prior to the NCAA Championships, the Anchormen tied for 21st place overall (37 teams) and finished with a score of 10.0 at the New England Open Championships on Feb. 28-March 1. RIC placed 14th overall (26 teams) with a team score of 18.0 at the N.E. Div. III Championships on Feb. 21-22. The Anchormen finished eighth (10 teams) at the N.E. Alliance Championships with a score of 48.0 and placed fifth in the Little East Conference (six teams) with a score of 66.0 on Feb. 15.

 

 

 

Senior Craig Amado (Providence, RI) finished 16th in the triple jump (13.63m) at the N.E. Open Championships on March 1. He earned All-New England honors in the triple jump with a fifth place finish (13.40m), while also placing 13th in the long jump (6.29m) at the N.E. Div. III Championships on Feb. 21-22. Amado earned N.E. Alliance honors in three events, as he finished third in the long jump (6.64m; season-best), fifth in the triple jump (13.29m) and sixth in the 600m (1:24.23; season-best) at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 15. He took 14th in the triple jump (13.34m) and finished 60th in the 400m (50.12; season-best) at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Feb. 8. Amado finished second in both in the triple jump (13.70m) and the 600m (1:24.47), while finishing eighth in the long jump (6.15m), at the Tufts Stampede Invitational on Feb. 1.

 

He finished 10th in the triple jump (13.94m) and 71st in the 400m (50.60) at the John Thomas Terrier Invitational on Jan. 25. Amado placed second in both the long jump (6.28m) and the triple jump (13.24m), while finishing sixth in the 200m (24.18) and 12th in the preliminaries of the 55m (7.03), at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 18. He finished second in the triple jump (13.49m; season-best), long jump (6.33m) and fourth in the 600m (1:25.57) at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 11. Amado placed fourth in the triple jump (13.83m) and 12th in the 400m (52.40) at the Jay Carisella Invitational on Dec. 14. He placed first in the triple jump (13.22m) and also finished third in the 600m (1:27.52) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 7.

 

As a junior in 2012-13, Amado took first place in the triple jump (13.94m) at the Tufts Last Chance Meet on March 2. He earned All-New England honors in the triple jump with a third place finish (13.82m), while also placing 12th in the long jump (6.25m), at the N.E. Div. III Championships on Feb. 16. Amado was the N.E. Alliance Champion in the triple jump, placing first overall with a season-high mark of 14.42m, and also earned N.E. Alliance honors in the long jump with a season-high mark of 6.65m with a fourth place effort at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 10. Amado finished first in the triple jump (13.95m), 11th in the 400m (52.18), 15th in the long jump (6.03m) and 27th in the 200m (24.46) at the Tufts Stampede Invitational on Feb. 2. He placed 10th in the triple jump (13.76m) and finished 53rd in the 400m with a season-best time of 50.15 at the B.U. Terrier Invitational on Jan. 26.

 

Amado placed first in the triple jump (13.82m), second in the 600m with a season-best time of 1:25.97, and fourth in the long jump (6.09m) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 12. Amado placed second in the long jump (6.35) and third in the 200m with a season-best time of 23.05 at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 5. He took third place in the 400m (50.22) and fourth in the triple jump (14.04m) at the Harvard Open on Dec. 8. He was also a member of the 4x440m relay team broke the previous program record with a second place time of 3:25.30. Amado placed first in both the triple jump (14.25m) and the 400m (51.43) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 1.

 

As a sophomore in 2011-12, Amado placed 13th in the triple jump (13.64m) at the 2012 NCAA Div. III Championships on March 10. He placed 10th in the triple jump (13.93m) and 17th in the 400m (51.14) at the ECAC Championships on March 3. Amado broke his own program record in the triple jump after placing fourth (14.86m) and also finished 14th in the 400m with a season-best time of 49.47 at the NEICAAA Championships on Feb. 25. He placed ninth in the triple jump (13.49m) and 20th in the 400m (53.01) at the N.E. Div. III Menís Track and Field Championships on Feb. 18. Amado earned N.E. Alliance honors in three events, as he placed fourth in the long jump with a season-best 6.67m, fifth in the triple jump (13.44m) and third as part of the 4x400m relay (3:27.96) at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 11.

 

He also placed seventh in the 400m (51.53). He took sixth in the triple jump (14.31m), 32nd in the 400m (50.34) and 97th in the 200m with a season-best time of 23.70 at the BU Terrier Invitational on Jan. 28. Amado placed first in the triple jump (14.32m), as well as the 400m (52.60), finished fifth in the 200m (24.83) and helped establish a new program record in the 4x200m relay with a first-place finish (1:35.41) at the Coast Guard Winter Invitational on Jan. 14. He placed first with a season-best performance in the 600m (1:23.41), first in the long jump (6.62m) and first in the triple jump (14.01m), while also taking third place in the 200m (24.28), at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 7. Amado was named Little East Conference Track Athlete of the Week once on the season and named Little East Conference Field Athlete of the Week once on the year as well.

 

As a freshman in 2010-11, Amado was named the Little East Conference Rookie Track Athlete of the Year. Amado finished 11th in the preliminaries of the 400m (50.13) at the NCAA Div. III Championships, hosted by Capital University on March 11. He earned All-ECAC honors in the 400m with a fourth place finish (49.29), while also placing ninth in the triple jump (13.89m), at the ECAC Championships on March 5. Amado broke his own record in the 400m, placing sixth (48.76), and equaled his own program mark in the triple jump with a fifth place effort (14.32m) at the NEICAAA Championship Meet on Feb. 26. He earned All-New England honors for his second place finish in the 400m (50.69), eighth place effort in the long jump (6.44m) and fourth place effort as part of the 4x400m relay (3:24.88) at the Div. III New England Championships on Feb. 19. He also placed ninth in the triple jump (13.26m) at the meet. Amado impressively won N.E. Alliance honors for his top-eight finishes in four events at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 12.

 

He won the 400m (50.16), placed second in the triple jump with a new program record (14.32m), took third with another program record in the long jump (6.68m) and finished sixth in the 200m (23.33). He finished sixth in the triple jump (13.86m), 13th in the 400m (49.03) and helped establish a new program record (3:18.84) in the 4x400m relay at the Boston University Terrier Invitational on Jan. 29. Amado placed fifth in the triple jump (12.94) and seventh with a season-best performance in the 200m (23.28) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 22. He claimed victory in the 400m (51.86), while placing second in both the long jump (6.35m) and the triple jump (13.80m), at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 15. Amado won both the 600m (1:24.83) and the triple jump (13.68m), while finishing second in the long jump (6.14m), at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 8. He won the triple jump (14.28m) at the Harvard Open on Dec. 11. Amado won the triple jump (13.90m), placed second in the 400m (52.28), third in the long jump (6.64m) and fifth in the high jump (1.76m) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 4. Amado was named Little East Conference Rookie Track Athlete of the Week three times and the LEC Rookie Field Athlete of the Week on two other occasions.

 

Amado is a community health major and a 2010 graduate of Central High School.

 

Senior Tom DeCristofaro (Smithfield, RI) placed 10th in the 1,000m (2:49.16) at the Jay Carisella Invitational on Dec. 14. He finished 13th in the mile (4:57.94) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 7.

 

As a junior in 2012-13, DeCristofaro finished 16th in the 3,000m (9:42.60) at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 10. He finished 20th in the 3,000m with a season-high time of 9:40.49 at the Tufts Stampede Invitational on Feb. 2. DeCristofaro finished 10th in the 3,000m (9:53.58) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 19. He finished eighth in the mile (4:51.77) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 12. DeCristofaro finished fifth in the 3,000m (9:47.15) at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 5. He finished 57th in the mile with a season-best time of 4:50.73 at the Harvard Open on Dec. 8. DeCristofaro finished 10th in the 3,000m (9:44.87) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 1.

 

As a sophomore in 2011-12, DeCristofaro finished 19th with a season-best performance in the 1,000m (4:49.65) at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 11. He finished 26th in the mile (5:02.15) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 21. DeCristofaro finished seventh in the 3,000m (10:15.00) at the Coast Guard Winter Invitational on Jan. 14. He earned a 10th place finish in the mile (5:03.57) at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 7. DeCristofaro finished 39th in the 3,000m with a season-best time of 9:51.57 at the Harvard Invitational on Dec. 10. He placed 13th in the mile with a season-best time of 4:51.67 at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 3.

 

As a freshman in 2010-11, DeCristofaro placed 24th with a season-best performance in the 3,000m (10:08.42) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 22. He finished sixth in the 3,000m (10:19.00) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 15. DeCristofaro placed 19th in the 3,000m (10:32.13) at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 8. He placed 90th with a season-best performance in the mile (5:04.85) at the Harvard Open on Dec. 11. DeCristofaro placed 18th in the 3,000m (10:15.56) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 4. 

 

DeCristofaro is a justice studies major and a 2010 graduate of Smithfield High School.

 

Senior Mike Farias (West Greenwich, RI) finished 14th in the long jump (6.00m; season-best) at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 15. He finished 206th in the 200m (24.33; season-best) at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Feb. 8. Farias finished 17th in the long jump (5.54m) and 24th in the 400m (55.45) at the Tufts Stampede Invitational on Feb. 1. He finished 150th in the 200m (24.74) at the John Thomas Terrier Invitational on Jan. 25. Farias finished ninth in the 400m (55.4; season-best), 16th in the preliminaries of the 55m (7.15), 17th in the 200m (25.03) and 21st in the long jump (5.36m) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 18. He finished eighth in the 200m (25.31), ninth in the preliminaries of the 55m (7.11; season-best) and 11th in the long jump (5.39m) at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 11. Farias finished 39th in the 200m (25.08) at the Jay Carisella Invitational on Dec. 14. He finished 13th in the preliminaries of the 60m (7.79) and 14th in the 200m (25.31) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 7.

 

Farias wrapped up his senior season with the Rhode Island College baseball team in the spring of 2013. He is a justice studies major and a 2009 graduate of Exeter-West Greenwich High School. 

 

Senior Cameron Richer (Woonsocket, RI) finished 21st in the 1,000m (2:54.01) at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 15. He finished 78th in the 1,000m (2:45.21; season-best) at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Feb. 8. Richer finished 20th in the 3,000m (9:37.60) at the Tufts Stampede Invitational on Feb. 1. He finished seventh in the 1,000m (2:48.51) and ninth in the mile (4:48.53) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 18. Richer finished fourth in the 3000m (9:51.16) at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 11. He finished 25th in the 3,000m (9:34.57; season-best) at the Jay Carisella Invitational on Dec. 14. Richer finished ninth in the 5000m (17:01.00) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 7.

 

As a junior in 2012-13, Richer finished 12th in the 5,000m (17:03.65) at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 10. He finished 16th in the 3,000m (9:37.59) at the Tufts Stampede Invitational on Feb. 2. Richer finished eighth in the 5,000m (16:58.66) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 19. He finished sixth in the 1,000m with a season-best time of 2:54.03 and ninth in the 3,000m (9:54.83) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 12. Richer placed fifth in the 5,000m (16:58.80) at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 5. He finished 30th in the 3,000m with a season-best time of 9:30.67 at the Harvard Open on Dec. 8. Richer finished seventh in the 5,000m with a season-best time of 16:42.92 at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 1.

 

As a sophomore in 2011-12, Richer finished 26th in the 3,000m (10:07.48) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 21. Richer finished 16th with a season-best performance in the mile (5:00.31) at the Coast Guard Winter Invitational on Jan. 14. He finished sixth in the 3,000m (10:01.78) at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 7. Richer finished 38th in the 3,000m with a season-best time of 9:47.16 at the Harvard Invitational on Dec. 10. He placed 10th in the 5,000m with a season-best time of 17:29.73 at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 3.

 

As a freshman in 2010-11, Richer finished 15th with a season-best performance in the 3,000m (9:57.20) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 22. He took third in the 3,000m (10:00.00) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 15. Richer placed 11th in the mile (4:59.76) at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 8. He placed 84th with a season-best performance in the mile (4:58.30) at the Harvard Open on Dec. 11. Richer placed 16th in the 3,000m (10:05.50) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 4.

 

Richer is a mathematics major with a minor in finance and a 2010 graduate of Woonsocket High School.

 

Junior Jarell Forbes (Providence, RI) was the Little East Champion and finished third overall in the 55m hurdles with a program-record time of 7.71 to earn N.E. Alliance honors at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 15. Forbes also posted an eighth-place finish in the high jump (1.93m season-best), an 11th-place finish in the 400m (52.27), a 13th-place finish in the long jump (6.02m), a 13th-place finish in the 55m preliminaries and a 26th-place finish in the 55m (7.00). He finished 67th in the 60m hurdles (9.40) and 79th in the 400m (50.62) at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Feb. 8. Forbes finished third in the 60m hurdles (8.52) at the Tufts Stampede Invitational on Feb. 1. He finished 14th in the preliminaries of the 60m hurdles (8.43) and 52nd in the 400m (50.04; season-best) at the John Thomas Terrier Invitational on Jan. 2.

 

Forbes placed third in the 55m hurdles (7.99), fifth in the 200m (24.14), seventh in the high jump (1.73m), ninth in the long jump (5.86m), 13th in the preliminaries of the 55m (7.06) and 14th in the shot (9.54m) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 18. He finished second in both the 55m hurdles (7.72) and the 800m (2:08.39), while also placing third in the 55m (6.88; season-best), third in the long jump (6.25m; season-best) and fourth in the high jump (1.78m), at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 11. Forbes placed sixth in the 60m hurdles (8.71) and ninth in the 400m (51.36) at the Jay Carisella Invitational on Dec. 14. He took first place in the 60m hurdles with a program-record time of 8.38 and also placed first in the 400m (52.12), while placing third in the 200m (23.73; season-best) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 7.

 

Sophomore Christian Colavecchio (Foster, RI) finished 20th (13.32m) in the weight throw at the N.E. Div. III Championships on Feb. 21-22. He finished 11th in the weight throw (13.75m) at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 15. Colavecchio finished 24th in the weight throw (14.00m) at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Feb. 8. He finished fourth in the weight throw (15.21m; season-best) at the Tufts Stampede Invitational on Feb. 1. Colavecchio placed 42nd in the weight throw (12.88m) at the John Thomas Terrier Invitational on Jan. 25. He placed fifth in the weight throw (13.05m) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 18. Colavecchio placed fourth in the weight throw (12.59m) and seventh in the shot (8.31m; season-best) at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 11. He finished 16th in the weight throw (10.46m) at the Jay Carisella Invitational on Dec. 14. Colavecchio finished eighth in the weight throw (12.95m) and 19th in the shot (7.31m) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 7.

 

Sophomore Jack Covino (Cumberland, RI) finished 21st (13.01m) in the weight throw at the N.E. Div. III Championships on Feb. 21-22. He earned N.E. Alliance honors in the weight throw (14.56m; season-best) with a sixth-place finish at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 15. Covino finished 36th in the weight throw (13.14m) at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Feb. 8. He finished 10th in the weight throw (12.78m) at the Tufts Stampede Invitational on Feb. 1. Covino placed 41st in the weight throw (12.91m) at the John Thomas Terrier Invitational on Jan. 25. He placed third in the weight throw (13.66m) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 18. Covino finished fifth in the weight throw (12.44m) at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 11. He finished ninth in the weight throw (12.23m) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 7.

 

Sophomore Edward Cummins (Lincoln, RI) was named the team's MVP. He finished 13th in the preliminary round of the weight throw (17.21m) at the 2014 NCAA Div. III Indoor Track & Field Championships held on March 14. He took seventh in the weight throw (17.60m) at the N.E. Open Championships on March 1. Cummins took third place in the weight throw (17.60m) at the N.E. Div. III Championships on Feb. 21-22. He finished first in the Alliance to take the crown in the weight throw and established a new program record (18.34m), while also earning N.E. Alliance honors in the shot (13.45m) with a sixth-place finish at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 15. Cummins finished 30th in the shot (13.57m; season-best) at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Feb. 8.

 

He placed second in the weight throw (16.32m) and ninth in the shot (12.56m) at the Tufts Stampede Invitational on Feb. 1. Cummins finished eighth in the weight throw (16.91m) and 37th in the shot (12.92m) at the John Thomas Terrier Invitational on Jan. 25. He placed first in the weight throw (17.81m) and fourth in the shot (12.97m) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 18. Cummins placed second in both the weight throw (18.07m) and the shot (12.71m) at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 11. He took second in the weight throw (16.47m) and 11th in the shot (11.93m) at the Jay Carisella Invitational on Dec. 14. Cummins took second place in the weight throw (17.51m), while also finishing 10th in the shot (11.83m) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 7.

 

Sophomore Joel Ikuejamofo (Providence, RI) finished 23rd in the preliminaries of the 55m (8.97) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 18. He finished 21st in the 200m (23.66) at the Jay Carisella Invitational on Dec. 14.

 

Sophomore Brandon Paulino (Bristol, RI) finished 14th in the 5,000m (17:04.87) at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 15. He finished 296th in the mile (4:58.14) at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Feb. 8. Paulino finished 10th in the 1,000m (2:59.68) and 12th in the 3,000m (9:47.56) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 18. He finished fourth in the 5,000m (16:55.12) at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 11. Paulino finished 23rd in the 3,000m (9:30.14; season-best) at the Jay Carisella Invitational on Dec. 14. He posted a sixth place finish in the 5,000m (16:40.66; season-best) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 7.

 

Freshman Seth Larbi (Pawtucket, RI) finished 69th in the weight throw (9.87m) at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Feb. 8. He finished 15th in the weight throw (10.54m) at the Tufts Stampede Invitational on Feb. 1. Larbi placed 45th in the weight throw (12.13m; season-best) at the John Thomas Terrier Invitational on Jan. 25. He finished 10th in the weight throw (11.15m) and 16th in the shot (9.28m) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 18. Larbi finished fifth in the shot (9.29m; season-best) and sixth in the weight throw (9.83m) at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 11.

 

Freshman Justin Lucier (Attleboro, MA) finished 13th in the 800m (2:05.22) at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 15. He finished 183rd in the 800m (2:02.33; season-best) at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Feb. 8. Lucier finished 17th in the 600m (2:04.93) at the Tufts Stampede Invitational on Feb. 1. He finished 143rd in the mile (4:39.74) at the John Thomas Terrier Invitational on Jan. 25. Lucier placed fifth in the 800m (2:07.53) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 18. He took fifth place in the mile (4:50.21) at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 11. Lucier finished 15th in the mile (4:39.12; season-best) at the Jay Carisella Invitational on Dec. 14. He finished seventh in the 1000m (2:48.94) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 7.

 

Freshman Drew Sutherland (Plymouth, MA) finished 28th in the shot (11.20m) at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 15. Sutherland finished 55th in the shot (11.59m) at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Feb. 8. He finished 12th in the shot (12.02m; season-best) at the Tufts Stampede Invitational on Feb. 1. Sutherland finished 55th in the shot (11.32m) at the John Thomas Terrier Invitational on Jan. 25. He placed seventh in the shot (11.69m) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 18. Sutherland earned a fourth-place finish in the shot (11.43m) at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 11. He finished ninth in the shot (11.86m) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 7.

 

Freshman Jarrod Terry (Cranston, RI) finished 40th in the 200m (28.53) at the Tufts Stampede Invitational on Feb. 1. He finished 31st in the 200m (27.97) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 18. Terry finished 48th in the 200m (27.71; season-best) at the Jay Carisella Invitational on Dec. 14. He finished 17th in the preliminaries of the 60m (8.41) and 19th in the 200m (27.72) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 7.

 

Freshman Steve Vazquez (Central Falls, RI) finished third in the high jump (2.03m) at the Tufts Last Chance Meet on March 6. He tied his own program record with a second place finish in the high jump (2.04m) at the N.E. Open Championships on March 1. Vazquez placed second in the high jump (1.98m) at the New England Div. III Championships on Feb. 21-22. He earned N.E. Alliance honors with a second place finish in the high jump and established a new program record (2.04m), while also taking seventh in the triple jump (12.90m; season-best) at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 15. Vazquez finished sixth in the high jump (2.00m) at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Feb. 8. He placed first in the high jump (1.88m), sixth in the triple jump (12.67m), and ninth in the 400m (53.61; season-best) at the Tufts Stampede Invitational on Feb. 1.

 

Vazquez placed sixth in the high jump (2.00m) at the John Thomas Terrier Invitational on Jan. 25. He won the high jump (1.98m), finished third in the 400m (53.63), placed fifth in the triple jump (12.01m), and finished 17th in the preliminaries of the 55m (7.19) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 18. Vazquez took first place in the high jump (1.99m) at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 11. He placed second in the high jump (1.98m) at the Jay Carisella Invitational on Dec. 14. Vazquez recorded a first place finish in the high jump (2.02m) and followed with a second place finish in the triple jump (12.44m) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 7. He was named the Little East Conference Rookie Field Athlete of the Week seven times on the season.

 

Freshman Isaiah Wooden (Seekonk, MA) finished 13th in the triple jump (11.98m), 20th in the preliminaries of the 55m hurdles (9.09) and 30th in the 200m (24.22) at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 15. He finished 26th in the triple jump (12.05m), 77th in the 60m hurdles (10.03) and 194th in the 200m (23.97; season-best) at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Feb. 8. Wooden finished 10th in the triple jump (11.84m), 12th in the preliminaries of the 60m hurdles (9.69; season-best) and 14th in the 200m (24.34) at the Tufts Stampede Invitational on Feb. 1. He placed 33rd in the triple jump (11.86m) at the John Thomas Terrier Invitational on Jan. 25. Wooden finished third in the triple jump (12.22m; season-best), 10th in the preliminaries of the 55m hurdles (9.05; season-best) and 16th in the 400m (56.87) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 18. He took fifth place in the triple jump (11.89m) and finished 10th in the preliminaries of the 55m hurdles (9.24) at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 11. Wooden registered a fourth place finish in the triple jump (12.06m) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 7.
