Providence, R.I.-Rhode Island College senior forward Emmanuel Asiedu (Lincoln, RI) was named First Team All-Little East Conference for his performance in men's soccer this season. Senior defender Kwasi Boateng (East Hartford, CT), freshman forward Komla Dogbey (Providence, RI) and junior forward Jose Zarraga (Providence, RI) were each named Second Team All-Little East.



 Senior forward Emmanuel Asiedu


For the season, Asiedu played in 17 games, starting all of them. He totaled 13 goals and five assists for 31 points. He scored the game-winning goal in six of RIC's 12 wins and was a perfect 5-for-5 in penalty kick opportunities. He is currently tied for the Little East lead in goals and is tops in the league for points. Asiedu was named the Little East Conference Offensive Player of the Week twice.



 Senior back Kwasi Boateng


Boateng played in 16 games, starting all of them. He anchored a RIC defense that ranked third in goals allowed and fourth in goals against average.



 Freshman forward Komla Dogbey


Dogbey, one of the top rookies in the conference this fall, played in 19 games, starting 15 of them. He totaled eight goals and three assists for 19 points. Dogbey notched one game-winning goal on the season and was named the Little East Rookie of the Week twice.



 Junior forward Jose Zarraga


Zarraga played in 19 games, starting of 17 of them. He totaled four goals and five assists for 13 points. Zarraga buried two game-winning goals and converted one penalty kick opportunity.


Head Coach John Mello's team finished the 2014 season with a 12-6-1 overall record and a 4-2-1 (second place tie) in the Little East. Fourth-seeded RIC saw its season come to an end in a 1-0 loss at top-seeded and eventual Little East Tournament Champion UMass Boston on Nov. 5.
