4x100M RELAY BREAKS PROGRAM RECORD
AT SALISBURY QUALIFYING MEET

Salisbury, Md.--The Rhode Island College menís and womenís outdoor track & field teams sent several competitors to the Salisbury University Elite Final Qualifying Meet on Thursday afternoon in an effort to qualify individuals for the upcoming NCAA Div. III National Championships.

 

Senior Autumn Wosencroft (Newport, RI) finished first in the 400m (58.23), first in the long jump (5.27m) and second in the 200m (25.90), while also competing as a member of the second place 4x100m relay (48.47; program record).

Freshman Eleni Grammas (Cranston, RI) finished fourth in the 200m (26.49), while also competing as a member of the second place 4x100m relay (48.47; program record).

 

Freshman Melanie Brunelle (Warwick, RI) finished third in both the high jump (1.55m) and the triple jump (11.09m), while also competing as a member of the second place 4x100m relay (48.47; program record).

 

Freshman Nicole Grammas (Cranston, RI) competed as a member of the second place 4x100m relay (48.47; program record).

 

On the menís side, sophomore Vincent Santos (Narragansett, RI) finished sixth in the 110m hurdles (16.37).

 

Senior Christian Colavecchio (Foster, RI) finished second in the hammer (50.77m) and sixth in the discus (36.91m).

Sophomore Shamar Spruill (Providence, RI) finished third in the hammer (50.62m), while also competing in the discus.
